Dmitry
Vulfovich was born in Murmansk, Northern Russia, followed by a procession to
California in 1993 with his family. He received a BA in Psychology with a
minor in Comparative Religion from San Jose State University and is currently
in a Masters program for Holistic Counseling Psychology at John F. Kennedy
University. One of his strong points is assisting people to process their deeper emotions and enacting them for greater insight. He is in training at the Process Therapy Institute for process style psychotherapy. Treating clients with drug and alcohol
issues in a clinical setting is a also a specialty, for he has worked as a therapist at Positive Progression Inc. residential program. Dmitry also works with developmentally disabled
individuals in the nonprofit sector. He has worked in a variety of
contexts and populations including homeless and crises related essential
services, schools, day care programs, youth, life coaching and the disabled. Dmitry is an expert in non-ordinary states of consciousness and various
breathe work modalities useful for accessing deeper aspects of human
experience. Since 2003, he has
been developing a uniquely diverse lineage of spiritual background with yoga
and meditation through intimate gurus and teachers from around the world, and
is experienced in teaching classes and workshops (Kriya, Pranayama, Hatha, and
guided meditation). He has many teachers around the world through which he has
attained his skills and methods, including: Beam Wilder, Martina Krauss, Goa
Gil, Ernest Wagner, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Siamac Hafiz, Don Hadlock and Richard
Grossman.
